Spring Fling X

Spring is finally approaching! I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate, so decided to paint my nails. OPI has some awfully pretty colours in at the moment. For my base coat I used the lavender 'Planks a lot' from the Pirates of the Caribbean range and then put a top coat of sparkly 'Teenage Dream' from the Katy Perry selection. To really get into the floral season I decided some little flower decorations were in order! Always remember to use a clear top coat to seal your colour and help get the longevity out of your polish. How cute is this Zimmerman coat!? I mean seriously? I want it. I need it. My wardrobe is literally naked without it. A splash of colour can brighten even the dullest winter day. Love the cut of this piece too, it creates an amazing silhouette. Wish list? Check!

This WORLD dress is just stunning! Doesn't it remind you of water? When the train is on the ground it's out of this world. No pun intended. It's the perfect party dress, and one way to get noticed. Loving the hint of yellow from the stockings. Jump out of your comfort zone and get a little crazy. You won't regret it.

Victorian Boudoir X

I love these pieces! They would look great in a photoshoot with a Victorian Boudoir feel. The floaty dresses create a sense of nostalgia of days gone when you were a child, and the blazers and corsets would create an adult edge and structure to juxtapose the flirtatious pretty pieces. I think the combination of the navy, pinot red, cream and black manage to create a classic capsule wardrobe. The high collars from a couple of the dresses and shirts reflects the late Victorian style along with the sheer dresses and lace. Big wedges break the softness of white and make them more appealing for Autumn. Statement jewellery is a must-have in every girls wardrobe. I found these various items off -

molly and me jewellery is a personal favourite of mine. Local designer Keryn Derbie has an eye for anything that is cute, floral or vintage. All of her handmade treasures are made with love and are also very reasonably priced.

Great as gifts for friends and family, but also if you feel the need to spoil yourself, and let's be honest, everyone deserves to shower themselves in jewellery that's this beautiful!

She also has a stall the first Saturday of every month at the Mighty Mighty Market on Cuba St in Wellington which usually opens around midday.
